Sometimes we end up being angels of the lord for people at the hardest moments in their lives... We´ll find people who are on the verge of taking their own lives or doing something really terrible... Yikes. I think the worst is watching people throw their lives away. Ouch, it really hurts... We have some really once bright teenagers that just sit around and drink this cheap wine that comes in a box, for example- gained a testimony of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon but decided that life was still too hard.
We were visiting this menos autivo family, the Flia (actually I probably shouldn´t say names). Alright I just deleted that story. Probably details I shouldn´t say. But let´s just say that the wife and kid left and Hno. was really angry at them and the people in the church. I´m really grateful for a Dad that taught me to listen. We got to be there for this guy, I know he´s having a hard time seeing things as they are, he´s really angry with himself and the members of the church, but we just love him and we´re there for him. Apparently he thinks the bishop is part of it so he won´t go to the bishop, we´re pretty much the only priesthood resource he´s accepting. Hard, mature stuff, but times like this I really feel the guidance of the spirit, I´m grateful to see how the Lord leaves the 99 to minister to the 1.
I really love this work.
They changed the mission schedule- basically they want us to be practicing our albedrío more. I´m excited for the challenge, I´m determined to become a man of God en every thought, word and deed- or that is to say, in every decision that I make.
Aloha
